Grey PVC-u Door & Window

As standard all our garden rooms are fitted with 1 x pvc-u sliding door. Depending on the size room you choose this will vary from 1.6m wide x 2.0m high to 2.4m wide x 2.0m high, please visit our FAQ’s page for details on this. Each room also features 1 x 0.8m wide x 0.4m high opening window. The position of the door and opening window is at the discretion of the customer. Each door and window is supplied with an insurance approved multi point locking system and enhanced security cylinder lock. All garden room doors and windows are supplied double glazed with grey pvc-u profiles on the outside and white on the inside. Each patio door section, fixed panel and window is supplied with toughened, heat saving argon gas filled double glazed glass panels as standard.

Foundations

Heavy duty steel legs are fixed to the timber subframe, the subframe is then temporary elevated, holes are dug to which the steel legs are inserted. The holes are then filled with concrete and the steels are now permanently set into the ground. Once fully set and the temporary elevations are removed so the timber has no contact with the ground, totally avoiding rising damp issues. We can install onto flat or uneven surfaces with no issue at all.

Western Red Cedar Exterior Timber Cladding

Western red cedar is one of the most desired external timber claddings due to its rich and variable colours, high resistance to decay, durability and natural preservatives. The exterior western red cedar timber cladding compliments most environments, is 100% maintenance free and has a typical life span of 40-50 years.

Traditional Plaster Boarded & Skimmed Walls & Ceiling

Inside all our garden buildings you will find traditional plaster boarded and skimmed walls and ceiling (not vinyl or plastic wall boards) A professionally plastered interior gives a warm, elegant surface finish and will also help with sound insulation and improved energy efficiency.

Electrical Specifications

Each garden building is fitted with a comprehensive electrics package comprising of a mains consumer unit, 4 double sockets, adjustable 4 bulb spotlight fitting and light switch. The electrical fittings are supplied in the standard white finish unless otherwise requested (see upgrades). All wiring is fully concealed within the timber framework. The only part that’s not included is installing and connecting an armoured power cable from the consumer unit in your property to the garden room. This is because every route and distance for this is different from job to job. Our electrician can provide a quote and carry out this as a separate job or you can use your local electrician. This is normally installed and connected within a day.
