About Us
Contemporary Garden Rooms is an offshoot of a bespoke carpentry business that has been in the industry for over 20 years.
We manufacture, build and install beautiful contemporary garden rooms all over the UK and have developed a reputation for unrivaled quality of craftsmanship, reliability and service.
Paul Jones (Founder and Master Carpenter) has a very “hands on” approach to building our clients’ garden rooms and no two buildings will ever be the same. His skill and attention to detail in the workshops and on-site is second to none. Paul insists that every contemporary garden room is handmade and erected (dry built) in our workshops prior to being disassembled and delivered to site for installation.
We specialize in a true bespoke service and offer a professional yet personal service to our clients.

Your beautiful garden room will be craftsmen built to the highest standards using only the very best sustainably sourced materials; from Western Red Cedar which does not rot and needs no further treatment, to tanalized slow grown Spruce we ensure you’ll have years of trouble free use of your garden retreat.
A recycled rubber roof (with a 50 year lifespan) which won’t tear, is applied in one piece, designed to endure even the harshest of conditions. We’ve honestly thought about every tiny detail, which gives us and you the confidence that we deliver a high quality product that can be used continuously for a very long time.

Having recently expanded our factory to incorporate our new designs The Contemporary MyPod , The Contemporary Box and The Apprentice thus our newly designed range falls within most budgets and still promises to deliver the very best eco friendly product.
The aim of our garden rooms and garden offices is to be built to the very highest standard, to reduce our carbon footprint, be sustainable, use good quality recycled products where possible and have a finished product with very low U value.

The MyPod
The unit comes with fully-insulated, double-glazed lockable high security doors and windows. The pod is constructed from maintenance-free cedar (£495 extra) or treated spruce. No planning permission is required and the pod is fully re-locatable!
The MyPod can be easily customised; as a bespoke service our pods can be made as a larger or smaller garden room to suit your individual requirements and garden space. Please get in touch to discuss your ideas for yourMyPod.

The Cube
Description
The cube is constructed from maintenance-free cedar inside and out, finished with a high-quality plywood and rubber roof. This versatile garden room has a variety of uses; a relaxation room, playroom or even as a smoking room!

The Playhouse
A place to play that won’t cost the earth
We take waste management seriously – preserving the environment for the future is really important to us. Every off cut from our buildings is put to good use and in doing so, we have developed the Playhouse.
Our team was tasked to create a product utilising cedar off cuts and voilá… the Playhouse was born.
As with our garden rooms each building is individually constructed by hand in our workshop in Shropshire. We can build any size to suit your garden space or the age of your children.
These also make fun and quirky accommodation for dogs giving your family pet a unique pad of its own.

The Wave
A cool, modern space with a softer side
The Wave is our largest pod to date and can be custom built to suit your requirements. Delivery of the finished Wave can be arranged as a whole unit or in sections which can be built on site meaning we are able to gain access to even the smallest of gardens.
Like our garden rooms, The Wave benefits from aluminium bifold doors allowing you to make the most of the long summer days. It’s also well insulated for all year round use and dressed in low maintenance cedar with a false grass roof.

The Graduate
Low maintenance Cedar cladding to the entire structure, bi-fold doors in a choice of Oak or Aluminium and matching ventilation windows. Internal finishes include, plastered walls with the paint colour of your choice as well as brushed steel downlights, sockets, switches, hardwood floors and skirting boards.
100mm Kingspan insulation can be specified with your build if required, giving an overall wall/floor/ceiling thickness of 220mm and a U-Value of around 0.15W/m2 which exceeds Part L Building Regs
Full Part P Certified electrical connection including the connection to your main consumer unit (within 40m) is also included in the price, as is delivery (some parts of Scotland and Ireland excl) and installation.

The Box
The Contemporary Box is designed with fully insulated (Kingspan) floor, ceiling and acoustic recycled glass insulation in the walls, double-glazed (A+ Rated) UPVC French door and window combination (3m) or Sliding Patio doors are included; if you require a set of Aluminium Bi-folds then there is a £1995 upgrade option available.
The Box comes fitted with full electrical connection (S/S downlights, sockets & switches)including the connection to the mains supply. This Contemporary Garden Room is finished with top grade 2 FSC horizontal or vertical Cedar cladding to ensure your garden room ages gracefully and without the constant need for maintenance.
At under 2.5 meters in height, in most cases no planning permission is required.
